यूजीसी चेयरमैन एम जगदीश रिटायर, बड़े फैसले दिए (UGC Chairman M Jagadeesh retired, gave big decisions)

मामिडाला जगदीश कुमार यूनिवर्सिटी ग्रांट कमीशन (यूजीसी) चेयरमैन के पद से रिटायर्ड हो गए हैं। फरवरी 2022 में ये पद संभाला था। सरकार के संस्कृति मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत राष्ट्रीय विज्ञान संग्रहालय परिषद की गवर्निंग बॉडी के अध्यक्ष रहे हैं। राष्ट्रीय मूल्यांकन एवं प्रत्यायन परिषद (एनएएसी) की सामान्य परिषद के अध्यक्ष रहे हैं। विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी) और भारतीय दूरसंचार विनियामक प्राधिकरण के सदस्य भी रहे हैं।

Mamidala Jagadeesh Kumar has retired from the post of University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman. He assumed this post in February 2022. He has been the chairman of the governing body of the National Science Museum Council under the Ministry of Culture of the Government. He has been the chairman of the General Council of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). He has also been a member of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.

He is a member of the editorial board of Scientific Reports, currently he is on the editorial board of Scientific Reports. He is the editor of the IEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, USA.

मामिडाला जगदीश कुमार का जन्म तेलंगाना के नलगोंडा जिले के टिपपर्थी मंडल के ममीडाला गांव में हुआ। यूजीसी चेयरमैन पर कुमार ने यूजी और पीजी शिक्षा में कई सुधार शुरू किए। यूजीसी के मुताबिक मामिडाला के कार्यकाल खत्म के बाद जल्दी नए नाम की घोषणा की जाएगी। मामिडाला नैनो- इलेक्ट्रॉनिक डिवाइसेज से आगे जुड़े हैं।

Mamidala Jagadeesh Kumar was born in Mamidala village of Tipparthi Mandal in Nalgonda district of Telangana. UGC Chairman Kumar initiated several reforms in UG and PG education. According to UGC, a new name will be announced soon after Mamidala's tenure ends. Mamidala is further associated with nano-electronic devices.

एम जगदीश के कार्यकाल में विवादास्पद फैसलों में से एक यूजीसी-केयर लिस्ट को बंद था। ये एकेडमिक मैगजीन की लिस्ट थी, 2018 में शुरू किया था। आठ नए क्राइटेरिया के मुताबिक मैगजीन को चुनने के लिए सजेशन फॉर्मेट में बदल दिया है।

One of the controversial decisions during M Jagadeesh's tenure was the discontinuation of the UGC-CARE list, a list of academic magazines introduced in 2018. It has been changed to a suggestion format for selecting magazines according to eight new criteria.
