बाइक के डिस्क ब्रेक में कई छोटे-छोटे छेद होते हैं, जिन्हें देख कई को लग सकता है कि वह डिजाइन के लिए हैं. ऐसा नहीं है. इन छेदों का असल में ब्रेकिंग परफॉर्मेंस और सेफ्टी में अहम रोल है. आइए सझते हैं.

There are many small holes in the disc brake of the bike, which many may think are for design. It's not like that. These holes actually play an important role in braking performance and safety. Let us understand.

1. वेंटिलेशन :-ब्रेक लगाने पर पैड और डिस्क के बीच फ्रिक्शन है, जिससे गर्मी पैदा होती है. डिस्क में छेद से हवा का फ्लो बेहतर है, जिससे गर्मी जल्दी निकलती है. ब्रेकिंग सिस्टम को ठंडा रखने में मदद मिलती है और ब्रेक फेल का खतरा कम होता है. डिस्क ब्रेक में छेद वेंटिलेशन का काम करते हैं.

Ventilation:-When the brakes are applied, there is friction between the pad and the disc, which generates heat. The holes in the disc allow better air flow, allowing heat to dissipate quickly. Helps keep the braking system cool and reduces the risk of brake failure. The holes in the disc brake work for ventilation.

2. गंदगी :-बारिश या गीली सड़कों पर चलने के दौरान डिस्क और ब्रेक पैड पर पानी और गंदगी जमा होती है. डिस्क में होल्स पानी और गंदगी को बाहर निकालने में मदद करते हैं.  जिससे ब्रेकिंग सिस्टम बेहतर तरीके से काम करता है. ब्रेकिंग के दौरान पैड घिसते हैं, जिस छोटे-छोटे पार्टिकल्स डिस्क पर आते हैं. इन्हें हटाने में छेद काम आते हैं. पैड और डिस्क के बीच बेहतर कॉन्टेक्ट है और ब्रेकिंग कैपेबिलिटी में सुधारता है.

Dirt: -During rain or driving on wet roads, water and dirt accumulate on the discs and brake pads. Holes in the disc help in draining out water and dirt. Due to which the braking system works better. During braking, the pads wear out, due to which small particles fall on the disc. Holes are used to remove them. There is better contact between the pad and disc and improves braking capability.

3. वजन :-छेद से डिस्क का वजन कम में मदद मिलता है, जिससे ओवरऑल बाइक का वजन कम रहता है. बाइक की स्पीड, माइलेज और परफॉर्मेंस में सुधारता है.

Weight:-The holes help in reducing the weight of the disc, which keeps the overall weight of the bike less. Improves speed, mileage and performance of the bike.

4. कॉस्ट :-छोटे-छोटे छेद से डिस्क बनाने में मटेरियल कम इस्तेमाल है. मटेरियल कम इस्तेमाल होगा तो कॉस्ट कम होगी. कास्ट कम होगी तो बाइक की कीमत को कॉम्पिटेटिव में होगी. बाइक के डिस्क ब्रेक में होल्स के फायदे हैं, जिनमें बेहतर वेंटिलेशन, कम गंदगी, हल्का वजन और बेहतर ब्रेकिंग हैं. बाइक के लिए बेहतर ब्रेकिंग सिस्टम हैं, तो डिस्क ब्रेक वाले मॉडल को चुनना विकल्प होगा.

Cost:- Less material is used in making discs with small holes. If less material is used then the cost will be less. If the cast is less then the price of the bike will be competitive. The benefits of holes in the bike's disc brakes include better ventilation, less dirt, lighter weight and better braking. There are better braking systems for the bike, so choosing a disc brake model would be an option.
