डीजल इंजन में स्पार्क प्लग क्यों नहीं होता जबकि पेट्रल इंजन में होता है;कारण (Why there is no spark plug in diesel engine while there is in petrol engine; reason)

पेट्रोल इंजन हो या डीजल इंजन, दोनों इंटरनल कंबशन इंजन (आईसीई) कहलाते हैं. फ्यूल और एयर के मिक्सचर को बर्न किया है. इससे कैमिकल एनर्जी को थर्मल एनर्जी में बदलता है, फिर मेकेनिकल एनर्जी जनरेट होती है, जो व्हीकल को चलाने के लिए इस्तेमाल है. 

Be it petrol engine or diesel engine, both are called internal combustion engine (ICE). The mixture of fuel and air has been burnt. This converts chemical energy into thermal energy, then mechanical energy is generated, which is used to drive the vehicle.

लेकिन, दोनों इंजन (पेट्रोल इंजन और डीजल इंजन) की वर्किंग में अंतर है. पेट्रोल इंजन में कंबशन के लिए स्पार्क प्लग का इस्तेमाल है जबकि डीजल इंजन में स्पार्क प्लग नहीं है. डीजल इंजन में बिना स्पार्क प्लग के लिए कंबशन प्रोसेस किया है. 

But, there is a difference in the working of both the engines (petrol engine and diesel engine). Spark plug is used for combustion in petrol engine whereas diesel engine does not have spark plug. Combustion process is done for diesel engine without spark plug.

डीजल इंजन में "सेल्फ-इग्निशन" :-पेट्रोल इंजन में स्पार्क प्लग फ्यूल और एयर के मिक्सचर को जलाने के लिए इलेक्ट्रिक चार्ज जनरेट है. डीजल इंजन में कंबशन के लिए फ्यूल और एयर का इस्तेमाल किया है. सिलेंडर में ज्यादा हाई प्रेशर और टेंपरेचर जरूरी है. डीजल इंजन के सिलेंडर में हवा को ज्यादा कंप्रेस किया है, जिससे गर्म होती है. हवा गर्म होती है कि यह बिना किसी बाहरी मदद (स्पार्क प्लग) के ही डीजल को जला देती है. इस प्रोसेस को "सेल्फ-इग्निशन" कहते हैं.

"Self-ignition" in diesel engine: In petrol engine the spark plug generates electric charge to burn the mixture of fuel and air. Fuel and air are used for combustion in diesel engine. Very high pressure and temperature is necessary in the cylinder. The air in the cylinder of a diesel engine is more compressed, which causes it to heat up. The air is so hot that it burns the diesel without any external help (spark plug). This process is called "self-ignition".

डीजल इंजन में कंप्रेशन :-डीजल के मुकाबले पेट्रोल हल्का फ्यूल है, जो आसानी से हवा में इवेपोरेटर होता है और जल्दी आग पकड़ता है जबकि डीजल ज्यादा डेंसर फ्यूल है और आसानी से आग नहीं पकड़ता है. इसे जलाने के लिए ज्यादा तापमान की जरूरत है.

Compression in diesel engine:- Petrol is a lighter fuel than diesel, which easily evaporates in air and catches fire quickly whereas diesel is a denser fuel and does not catch fire easily. Higher temperature is required to burn it.

यही कारण है कि पेट्रोल इंजन में फ्यूल जलाने के लिए स्पार्क प्लग की जरूरत है जबकि डीजल इंजन में कंप्रेशन पर निर्भर होता है.

This is the reason why a spark plug is required to burn fuel in a petrol engine whereas it depends on compression in a diesel engine.
