कारों में सीट्स के साथ हेडरेस्ट होते हैं. कुछ कारों में हेडरेस्ट फिक्स्ड होते हैं और कुछ में एडजेस्टेबल होते हैं. कारों में हेडरेस्ट को सीट से निकालकर आसानी से अलग किया जाता है. ऐसे में कूल के चक्कर में हेडरेस्ट निकाल अलग रखते हैं और बिना हेडरेस्ट के ही ड्राइविंग करते हैं. हेडरेस्ट सेफ्टी के लिहाज से जरूरी है.

सिर हिसाब से एडजेस्ट :-हेडरेस्ट के संबंध में यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए कि वह सिर के लिए सही ऊंचाई पर सेट हो. हेडरेस्ट बहुत ज्यादा ऊंचा या नीचा होगा, तो यह गर्दन को प्रभावी रूप से सपोर्ट नहीं देगा और हादसे की स्थिति में गर्दन को चोट की संभावना बढ़ेगी. हेडरेस्ट को हिसाब से एडजेस्ट करें.
