मौजूदा समय में कारें चाबी से स्टार्ट होती हैं या पुश स्टार्ट बटन से स्टार्ट होती हैं. लेकिन, हमेशा से ऐसा नहीं था. शुरुआत में कारों को ऐसे स्टार्ट किया जाता था, जैसे आज कुछ जेनरेटर्स को हैंडल (हैंडल लगाकर घुमाकर) से स्टार्ट किया जाता है. यानी, कारों को मैनुअली स्टार्ट किया था. लेकिन, धीरे-धीरे टेक्नोलॉजी बढ़ी और आप सिर्फ एक बटन दबाकर कार को स्टार्ट करते हैं. तो इस में समझते हैं कि आखिर यह कैसे है.

Currently, cars start with the key or with a push start button. But, it was not always like this. Also, electric current reaches the starter from the battery. The engine starter is a motor that provides the initial push for combustion in the engine. It contains a solenoid, it works like an electromagnet. The starter motor starts on current from the battery.

इंजन स्टार्टर के एक तरफ पिनियन गियर है, जो उसके स्टॉर्ट पर फ्लाइंग व्हील के टेंप्रेरी कॉन्टेक्ट में है. इससे फ्लाइंग व्हील घूमता है, जो इंजन क्रैंकशाफ्ट को घूमाता है. इंजन में कंबशन प्रोसेस शुरू होता है और पिस्टन खुद से ऊपर-नीचे होती हैं. यानी, इंजन स्टॉर्ट होता है. बता दें कि इंजन स्टार्टर का पिनियन गियर, फ्लाइंग व्हील को पुश करने के बाद अलग होता है.

इंजन स्टार्टर मोटर में सोलेनॉइड की जरूरत क्यों होती है. दरअसल, इंजन को स्टॉर्ट करने के लिए जितनी इनिशियल पावर की जरूर है, वह बैटरी से नहीं मिलता है. लेकिन, बैटरी से करेंट पर सोलेनॉइड इलेक्ट्रोमैग्नेट की तरह काम कर ज्यादा पावर जनरेट करता है. इससे ही क्रैंकशाफ्ट का घूमना संभव है.

Why is solenoid needed in engine starter motor? Actually, the initial power required to start the engine is not available from the battery. But, when it receives current from the battery, the solenoid works like an electromagnet and generates more power. Only through this the rotation of the crankshaft is possible.
