Royal Enfield showcased the Shotgun 650 Motoverse Edition last month. This was a limited edition. Now the company has revealed the production version of RE Shotgun 650, which is to be launched in the global market early next year. The new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is available in four colors – Stancil White, Plasma Blue, Drill Green and Sheetmetal Grey. It is built on RE's 650-twin platform, which is present in the Super Meteor 650, Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. This is the production version of the SG 650 concept, which was showcased at EICMA 2021.

This motorcycle is quite similar to the Motoverse Edition. The motorcycle has super meteoric features like LED headlight and tripper navigation pod. Customers have the option of a single-seater or pillion seat. The rider will sit in an upright position on the motorcycle. It has a flat handlebar and more mid-set footpegs.

The new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is powered by a 648cc, parallel twin, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine, producing 46.3hp at 7250rpm and 52.3Nm at 5,650rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It is claimed that the motorcycle can give a range of 22kmpl.

The steel tubular spine frame is mated to a Showa-sourced USD front fork with 120 mm of travel and rear twin-shock absorber with 90 mm of travel. The new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 has a 100/90 section front tire and a 150/70 section rear tyre. There is 18 inch wheel at front and 17 inch wheel at rear.
