कारों में एयरबैग को लेकर ऐलान, गडकरी ने कही बात (Announcement regarding airbags in cars, Gadkari said)

केंद्र सरकार ने पिछले साल यात्री वाहनों में 6 एयरबैग को अक्टूबर 2023 से अनिवार्य करने का प्रस्ताव था. यह सुरक्षात्मक कदम सड़क दुर्घटनाओं में होने मौतों का आंकड़ा कम के लिए उठाया था. सरकार ने हाथ पीछे खींच लिया है. केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्री गडकरी ने बुधवार को कहा कि सरकार यात्री कारों में 6 एयरबैग अनिवार्य नहीं करेगी.

Last year, the central government had proposed to make 6 airbags mandatory in passenger vehicles from October 2023. This protective step was taken to reduce the number of deaths in road accidents. The government has pulled back. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Gadkari said on Wednesday that the government will not make six airbags mandatory in passenger cars.

दरअसल, वाहन निर्माता कंपनियां कारों में 6 एयरबैग अनिवार्य किए के पक्ष में नहीं थीं. 6 एयरबैग को अनिवार्य से खासकर छोटी कारों की लागत बढ़ जाएगी. गडकरी ने एक कार्यक्रम में एयरबैग पर सरकार का रुख साफ कहा, ‘हम कारों के लिए 6 एयरबैग का नियम अनिवार्य नहीं बनाते हैं.’

Actually, vehicle manufacturing companies were not in favor of making 6 airbags mandatory in cars. Mandating 6 airbags will increase the cost of small cars especially. Gadkari clearly stated the government's stand on airbags in an event, 'We do not make the rule of 6 airbags mandatory for cars.'

एयरबैग दुर्घटना की स्थिति में यात्री को वाहन के ठोस हिस्सों से सीधी टक्कर से बचाने में भूमिका निभाते हैं. हादसे की स्थिति में यह गुब्बारे की तरह खुलकर यात्री को कार के ठोस हिस्सों से टकराने से रोकते हैं. इससे गंभीर चोट से बचाव है और यात्री सुरक्षित रहते हैं. जितने एयरबैग हैं, उतनी ही ज्यादा सेफ्टी मिलती है. 

Airbags play a role in protecting the passenger from direct collision with solid parts of the vehicle in the event of an accident. In case of an accident, they open like a balloon and prevent the passenger from hitting the solid parts of the car. This prevents serious injury and passengers remain safe. The more airbags there are, the more safety you get.

कारों में यात्रियों की सेफ्टी को ध्यान में रखते हुए पहले दो एयरबैग अनिवार्य किए हैं. कारों की अगली दोनों सीट के लिए एयरबैग को 1 अप्रैल 2021 से ही अनिवार्य किया है. सभी कारों में कम से कम यह दो एयरबैग (अगली दोनों सीट के लिए) दिए हैं. बिना दो एयरबैग के भारत में नई कार लॉन्च नहीं है.

Keeping in mind the safety of passengers in cars, the first two airbags have been made mandatory. Airbags for the front two seats of cars have been made mandatory from April 1, 2021. All cars are provided with at least two airbags (for both front seats). No new car is launched in India without two airbags.
