ओआरवीएम में पास की चीज दूर क्यों दिखती है? ये है कारण (Why does near object appear far away in ORVM? this is the reason)

ज्यादातर कारों के ओआरवीएमएस (आउटसाइड रियर व्यू मिरर) में पास की चीज दूर नजर है.  ओआरवीएमएस पर इसे लेकर चेतावनी लिखी है. ओआरवीएमएस पर देखेंगे कि वहां "दर्पण में वस्तु जितनी दिखाई देती है उससे अधिक निकट होती " लिखा मिलता है.  शीशे मेंचीज जितनी दूर दिख है, वह उतनी दूर नहीं बल्कि करीब है. ऐसा क्यों है, यह ज्यादातर को शायद ना पता हो. 

The ORVMS (Outside Rear View Mirror) of most of the cars has distant vision. A warning has been written on the ORVMs regarding this. On ORVMS it will be seen that "the object in the mirror is nearer than it appears". As far as the thing is seen in the mirror, it is not that far away but it is near. Why this is so, most probably do not know this.

 शीशे का डिजाइन या कहें कि बनावट है. कारों में ओआरवीएमएस के लिए उत्तल दर्पण इस्तेमाल किया जाता है. उत्तल दर्पण वो शीशा है, जिसकी रिफ्लेक्टिव सरफेस लाइट के सोर्स की तरफ उभरी हुई हो. शीशे का वह हिस्सा बाहर की तरफ उभरा हुआ है, जहां से लाइट टकराकर वापस लौटती है.  लाइट शीशे के बाद ज्यादा बिखरती है और शीशा ज्यादा जगह या चीजों को दिखता है. यह ड्राइविंग के लिए सेफ्टी के लिहाज से अच्छा है.

The design of the glass or say the texture. Convex mirrors are used for ORVMS in cars. A convex mirror is a mirror whose reflective surface is raised towards the source of light. That part of the glass is raised outwards, from where the light collides and returns back. Light scatters more after the mirror and the mirror reflects more places or things. It is good in terms of safety for driving.

इस प्रोसेस में चीजें छोटी दिखाई हैं, जिसे 'मिनिफिकेशन' कहते हैं. जितना ज्यादा कर्व्ड मिरर होगा, उतना 'मिनिफिकेशन' होगा और चीजें छोटी दिखाई देंगी. 'मिनिफिकेशन' इफेक्ट ओआरवीएम में छोटा करता है. यहां से दिमाग का खेल शुरू है. 

Things are shown smaller in this process, which is called 'minification'. The more the mirror is curved, the more 'minification' will occur and things will appear smaller. The 'minification' effect minimizes in the ORVM. The mind game starts from here.

दिमाग छोटी चीजों को दूर के साथ जोड़ता है और ओआरवीएम में दिखने वाली छोटी चीजें हमें दूर महसूस होती हैं. ऐसे में ड्राइविंग करते समय यह बात हमेशा ध्यान में रखें कि ओआरवीएम में दिखने वाली चीजें उतनी दूर नहीं हैं, जितनी नजर आ रही हैं.

The brain associates small things with distance, and small things seen in the ORVM seem distant to us. In such a situation, always keep in mind while driving that the things visible in the ORVM are not as far away as they appear.
