दुनिया के अलग-अलग देशों में ट्रैफिक को अलग नियम हैं लेकिन कुछ नियम हैं, जो ज्यादा देशों में एक समान ही हैं, जैसे कि रोड के किस ओर चलना है. देशों में रोड के लेफ्ट हैंड साइड पर ट्रैफिक चलता है कुछ देशों में रोड के राइट हैंड साइड पर ट्रैफिक चलता है. भारत में रोड के लेफ्ट हैंड साइड पर ट्रैफिक चलता है. फ्रांस की बात करें तो वहां रोड के राइट हैंड साइड पर ट्रैफिक चलता है, अमेरिका में राइट हैंड साइड पर ही ट्रैफिक चलता है. कारण हैं कि आखिर क्यों कुछ देशों में ट्रैफिक रोड के लेफ्ट साइड और कुछ में राइट साइड पर चलता है.
