टायर्स की साइड वॉल पर कुछ नंबर्स (ऐसे- 115/30R 10 81V) लिखे हैं. लेकिन, शायद यह जानकारी नहीं होगी कि मतलब क्या है. ऐसे लिखे नंबर्स को टायर से जुड़ी विस्तृत जानकारी के छोटे कोड में देख सकते हैं. यह नंबर्स टायर की चौड़ाई, साइड वॉल की ऊंचाई, रिम साइज, टॉप स्पीड और लोड कैपेसिटी में बताते हैं. टायर को देख पता लगाते हैं कि वह कितनी स्पीड तक के लिए बेहतर है या उसे कितनी मैक्सिमम टॉप स्पीड को ध्यान में रखकर बनाया है तो टायर की साइड वॉल पर लिखे नंबर के आखिर वाले अल्फाबेट को देखना होगा. 

The sidewalls of the tires have some numbers written on them (such as 115/30R 10 81V). But, it might not know what that means. These numbers tell the width of the tyre, height of side wall, rim size, top speed and load capacity. बातें (Things)

पहले तीन अंक टायर की चौड़ाई को mm में हैं.

The first three digits are the width of the tire in mm.

 दो अंकों की संख्या टायर की साइड वॉल की ऊंचाई को टायर की चौड़ाई के प्रतिशत में दर्शाते हैं.

इस बाद अंग्रेजी में लिखा अक्षर इसका कंस्ट्रक्शन टाइप बताता है.
