The global job market is set to take a hit over the next five years due to a weakening economy and increased adoption of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) by companies. This information is in the new report. According to the report, this finding comes from the World Economic Forum, which has published a report on surveys of more than 800 companies.

Employers are expected to create 69 million new jobs and eliminate 83 million positions by 2027. This would result in a net loss of 14 million jobs, which is equivalent to 2 percent of current employment.

According to WF, the employment of data analysts and scientists, machine learning specialists and cyber security specialists is projected to average 30 percent by 2027. The spread of artificial intelligence will put many roles at risk, as robots are replacing humans in some cases.

The WEF predicts that by 2027 there will be 26 million fewer record-keeping and administrative jobs. Data entry clerks and executive secretaries are expected to make losses. Despite the recent buzz around tools like ChatGPT, automation has grown slowly in the early part of this decade.
