विश्वविद्यालयों में सहायक प्रोफेसर पदों के लिए पीएचडी अनिवार्य नहीं: अध्यक्ष (PhD is not mandatory for assistant professor posts in universities: Chairman)

विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी) के अध्यक्ष जगदीश कुमार ने कहा कि केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालयों में सहायक प्रोफेसर के पदों पर भर्ती के लिए डॉक्टर ऑफ फिलॉसफी (पीएचडी) अनिवार्य नहीं है। रिपोर्ट अनुसार, उस्मानिया विश्वविद्यालय (ओयू) परिसर में नवनिर्मित यूजीसी-एचआरडीसी भवन के उद्घाटन के अवसर पर बोलते हुए, कुमार ने कहा कि आयोग की राष्ट्रीय पात्रता परीक्षा (एनईटी) में योग्यता पर्याप्त होगी।

University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Jagdish Kumar said that Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is not mandatory for recruitment to the posts of assistant professors in central universities. Speaking at the inauguration of the newly constructed UGC-HRDC building on the Osmania University (OU) campus, Kumar said qualifying in the commission's National Eligibility Test (NET) would be sufficient, according to reports.

यह निर्णय इसलिए लिया है ताकि जिन पेशेवरों के पास पीएचडी नहीं है, उन्हें भारत के विश्वविद्यालयों में सहायक प्रोफेसर के रूप में नियुक्त हो सके। इस कदम का उद्देश्य उन विशेषज्ञों को अवसर प्रदान है जो विश्वविद्यालयों में पढ़ाना चाहते हैं, लेकिन ऐसा नहीं कर सकते क्योंकि पीएचडी की डिग्री नहीं है।

This decision has been taken so that professionals who do not have PhD can be appointed as assistant professors in universities of India. The move is aimed at providing opportunities to experts who want to teach in universities but cannot do so because they do not have a PhD degree.

केंद्र सरकार ने पहले आयोग के नियमों में संशोधन था, जिसने पीएचडी को सहायक प्रोफेसरों की भर्ती के लिए न्यूनतम पात्रता मानदंड बनाया था। नए दिशानिर्देश 2021 में लागू होने थे, लेकिन कोविड-19 महामारी कारण स्थगित हो गए। बाद में इसे जुलाई 2023 तक बढ़ाया था। विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग राष्ट्रीय पात्रता परीक्षा (यूजीसी नेट) के स्कोर पर भर्ती जारी रही।

The central government had earlier amended the rules of the commission, which had made PhD the minimum eligibility criteria for recruitment of assistant professors. The new guidelines were to come into force in 2021, but got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Later it was extended till July 2023. Recruitment continued on the basis of University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) score.

नेशनल टेस्टिंग एजेंसी (एनटीए) ने दिसंबर-2022 और जून-2023 में संयुक्त सीएसआईआर-यूजीसी नेट परीक्षा के लिए पंजीकरण प्रक्रिया शुरू है। वेबसाइट csirnet.nta.nic.in पर आवेदन कर सकते हैं।  आवेदन प्रक्रिया 10 अप्रैल शाम 5 बजे तक सक्रिय रहेगी। जब विलंब शुल्क के साथ आवेदन पत्र भरने की अंतिम तिथि 10 अप्रैल रात 11:50 बजे तक है। इसके लिए परीक्षा 6, 7 और 8 जून को होगी।

National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process for joint CSIR-UGC NET exam in December-2022 and June-2023. You can apply on the website csirnet.nta.nic.in. The application process will be active till 5 pm on April 10. When the last date to fill the application form with late fee is 10th April till 11:50 PM. The exam for this will be held on June 6, 7 and 8.

The exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for Junior Research Fellowship, Lectureship and Assistant Professorship in Universities in India.

परीक्षा पेपर के लिए आयोजित है जिसमें रासायनिक विज्ञान, पृथ्वी, वायुमंडलीय, महासागर और ग्रह विज्ञान, जीवन विज्ञान, गणितीय विज्ञान और भौतिक विज्ञान हैं। परीक्षा का माध्यम अंग्रेजी और हिंदी होगा।

The exam is conducted for the papers which are Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences. The medium of examination will be English and Hindi.
