टाटा मोटर्स ने नवंबर 2022 के अंत में देश में नई टियागो ईवी लॉन्च की थी. इलेक्ट्रिक हैचबैक को 8.49 लाख की शुरुआती कीमत पर लॉन्च किया था, जो टॉप वेरिएंट के लिए 11.49 लाख रुपये (एक्स-शोरूम) तक थी. यह इंट्रोडक्टरी कीमतें थीं. कंपनी टियागो ईवी की कीमतों में तीन से चार फीसदी की बढ़ोतरी की तैयारी है. इलेक्ट्रिक हैचबैक की कीमत 30,000 रुपये से 35,000 रुपये तक बढ़एगी.

Tata Motors launched the new Tiago EV in the country by the end of November 2022. The company is preparing to increase the prices of Tiago EV by three to four percent. The price of the electric hatchback will increase from Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000.

At the launch, Tata Motors had announced that the introductory prices would be applicable only for the first 10,000 customers. The electric hatchback has received an overwhelming response from the buyers. In less than 1 month, the company had received more than 20,000 bookings. The introductory prices of the Tiago EV were increased for the first 20,000 customers.

टाटा मोटर्स पैसेंजर व्हीकल्स और टाटा पैसेंजर्स इलेक्ट्रिक मोबिलिटी के एमडी शैलेश चंद्रा ने कहा कि कीमतों में बढ़ोतरी सिर्फ इंट्रोडक्टरी कीमतों से संबंधित नहीं है बल्कि अन्य कारण है कि "बैटरी की कीमतों में 30-35 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि है और पूरी तरह से ग्राहकों पर पास ऑन नहीं है."

Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passengers Electric Mobility, said the price hike is not just related to the introductory prices but the other reason is that "there is a 30-35 per cent increase in battery prices and that is completely passed on to the customers". There are two battery pack options - 19.2kWh and 24kWh. The electric hatchback's electric motor generates 74bhp and 114Nm with the 24kWh battery while 61bhp and 110Nm is delivered with the 19.2kWh battery. The smaller battery version does 0 to 60 kmph in 6.2 seconds while the 24kWh battery version does it in 5.7 seconds. The entry-level model has a range of 250km and the one with the bigger battery pack has a range of 315km.
