आधार कार्ड का पांच साल नहीं किया इस्तेमाल तो होगा 'डिएक्टिवेट', होगे वंचित (Aadhaar card will be 'deactivated' if not used for five years, you will be deprived)

आधार कार्ड एक दस्तावेज नहीं है, बल्कि एक पहचान पत्र है. किसी वित्तीय लेनदेन और सरकारी योजनाओं का लाभ के लिए इम्पोर्टेंट हैं. लेकिन अब गलत इस्तेमाल होने लगा तो नियम भी सख्त किए हैं.

आधार कार्ड बनवाने के 10 साल पूरे पर नाम, पता और बायोमैट्रिक पहचान अपडेट अनिवार्य है. अपडेट नहीं किया तो राशन, पेंशन जैसी सुविधाएं में दिक्कतें होती हैं. यही नहीं जिनने पांच साल से आधार नंबर का कोई इस्तेमाल नहीं है. उनका आधार नंबर इन एक्टिव है. ऐसे आधार नंबर किसी भी सुविधा से लिंक नहीं होते.

अपडेट (Update)

ऐसे आधार कार्ड धारक न तो नया सिम खरीद पाएंगे और न ही अन्य प्लेटफॉर्म पर आधार का ओटीपी वेरिफिकेशन कर पाएंगे. यानी 5, 10 और 15 साल में आधार अपडेट अनिवार्य है. डीओआईटी के मुताबिक वयस्क का आधार हर 10 साल और बच्चों का हर 5, 10 और 15 साल में अपडेट करना है. 5 साल तक के बच्चों के फिंगर प्रिंट स्कैन नहीं होते हैं.
