गूगल पर जुर्माना : लोकेशन ट्रैकिंग में झटका, अमेरिका में देगे 32 अरब रुपये (Google fined: Setback in location tracking, will pay 32 billion rupees in America)

    दिग्गज टेक कंपनी गूगल की मुश्किलें कम होती नहीं हैं. दुनिया के अलग-अलग देशों में जुर्माना लगाने की खबरें सामने आ रही हैं. अमेरिका से आई  मिशिगन अटॉर्नी जनरल डाना नेसेल के कार्यालय ने सोमवार को बताया कि अमेरिका के 40 राज्यों ने लोकेशन ट्रैकिंग प्रैक्टिस को लेकर को गुमराह में गूगल  पर लगे जुर्माने के निपटारे के लिए है. इसके तहत गूगल करीब 32 अरब रुपये का हर्जाना इन 40 राज्यों को देगा. इतिहास में सबसे बड़ा बहुराज्य अटॉर्नी जनरल गोपनीयता समझौता है.

The difficulties of the giant tech company Google do not subside. There are reports of fines being imposed in different countries of the world. The office of Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, who came from the US, said on Monday that 40 states in the US have agreed to settle fines imposed on Google for misleading the location tracking practice. Under this, Google will pay a compensation of about Rs 32 billion to these 40 states. Largest multistate attorney general confidentiality settlement in history.

The majority of Google revenue is derived from the use of personal data of people who search in the browser and use apps. Online access is capable of targeting consumers without the consumer's knowledge or permission. Transparency requirements ensure that Google is not only aware of users' use of their location data, but how to change account settings if they disable location-related account settings.

पिछले कुछ वर्षों में, गूगल,अमेज़न और अन्य अमेरिकी टेक दिग्गजों को विश्व स्तर पर कई देशों में सख्त नियमों का सामना है. कुछ को गोपनीयता के उल्लंघन पर भारी जुर्माना है. अटॉर्नी जनरल के समूह ने 2018 की रिपोर्ट के बाद गूगल में एक जांच शुरू की, जिसमें खुलासा हुआ कि कंपनी ने उपयोगकर्ताओं के स्थानों को ट्रैक जारी रखा, भले सुविधा को बंद का ऑप्शन क्यों न चुना हो. जांच में गूगल ने कम से कम 2014 से उपभोक्ताओं को स्थान ट्रैकिंग प्रथाओं के बारे में गुमराह करके राज्य उपभोक्ता संरक्षण कानूनों का उल्लंघन किया था.

In the last few years, Google, Amazon and other US tech giants have faced stricter regulations in many countries globally. Some have heavy fines for breach of privacy. The attorney general's group launched an investigation into Google following a 2018 report that revealed the company continued to track users' locations even when the feature was opted out. The investigation found Google had violated state consumer protection laws since at least 2014 by misleading consumers about location tracking practices.
