समोसा (Samosa) -Story/Poem

ब्रह्माण्ड के किसी हलवाई की दुकान पर दो चीजें होना जरूरी है वर्ना वह दूकान हलवाई की दूकान नहीं कहलाती....

Two things are necessary at any confectionery shop in the universe, otherwise that shop is not called a confectionery shop.

पहला तो हलवाई खुद और दूसरा समोसा !

The first is the confectioner himself and the second is the samosa!

संसार की एकमात्र ऐसी रचना जिसके तीन कोने होने के बावजूद भी शान से सीना तान कर खड़ा है ....

The only such creation in the world, despite having three corners, it stands with its chest proudly.

.हलवाई की दुकान पर जब समोसे भर कर रखते है तो तले जाने से पहले पूरी समोसा मंडली पंक्तिबद्ध रूप से यूँ ट्रे में खड़े दिखती हैं मानो सफ़ेद वर्दी पहने जवान सावधान की मुद्रा में खड़े होकर गार्ड ऑफ़ ऑनर दे रहे हों।

When the samosas are stuffed at the confectionery, the entire samosa troupe is seen standing in a row in a tray before being fried, as if the soldiers in white uniform are standing in a cautious posture and giving a guard of honour.

अपने शाही अन्दाज़ के कारण सैकड़ों वर्षों से समोसा स्नैक फ़ूड का अघोषित सम्राट है और दो महारानियों यानी कि हरी चटनी और लाल चटनी के साथ फूडीयों के दिलों में राज करता है।

Samosa has been the undeclared emperor of snack food for hundreds of years due to its royal style and reigns in the hearts of foodies with two queens i.e. green chutney and red chutney.

अमीर-गरीब में फर्क नहीं करता.....एयरपोर्ट लाउंज की फैंसी लुटेरी कॉफ़ी शॉप में "टू समोसास फॉर टू हंड्रेड फिफ्टी रूपीज़" में भी है और डाकखाने के सामने टीन के पतरे को लोहे की तार के साथ बिजली के पुराने खम्भे के साथ बाँध कर बनायी गई टपरी पर “बीस के दो” भी है......ताज़ होटल की चाँदी की प्लेट में भी परोसा है और पुल के नीचे वाले ठेले पर अख़बार में लिपटा हुआ भी है ......मतलब कुल मिला कर बड़े वाले सेठ जी और सेठजी के घर का नौकर दोनो बराबर स्वाद है...

Doesn't make a difference between rich and poor.....the airport lounge's fancy robber is also in "Two Samosas for Two Hundred Fifty Rupees" in the coffee shop, and the tin sheet in front of the post office is tied to an old electric pole with iron wire. There is also "bees ke two" on the tapri made by binding together .... The Taj is also served in the hotel's silver plate and is also wrapped in newspapers on the handcart under the bridge .... Means Overall Seth ji and the servant of Seth ji's house have equal taste.

सड़क के किनारे किसी ठेले पर छोले और चटनी के साथ  स्वाद लेते हुए किसी नयी नयी जॉब पर लगे हुए कूरियर कम्पनी के डिलीवरी बॉय के फ़ोन पर जब कॉल आती है और वो सामने से रिप्लाई करता है कि “मैं लंच कर रहा हूँ” तो क़सम से समोसे को इतना प्राउड फ़ील होता होगा कि अंदर के आलू “अजीमो शान शहंशाह” वाले बैकग्राउंड म्यूज़िक पर नाचने लगते होंगे.....बस यूं समझिये कि जहाँ कुछ भी खाने को नहीं मिलता वहां पर भी समोसा हमेशा प्राणरक्षक का काम है।

When a call comes on the phone of a courier company's delivery boy, who is engaged in a new job, relishing it with chickpeas and chutney on a roadside cart and he replies "I am having lunch" then swear The samosa would feel so proud that the potatoes inside would start dancing to the background music of "Ajimo Shan Shahenshah".....just understand that even where there is nothing to eat, samosas are always life-saving.

जिस प्रकार मनुष्य के जीवन में मौत और दूकान में ग्राहक के आने का कोई निश्चित समय नहीं होता.... ठीक ऐसे ही समोसा खाने का भी कोई निश्चित समय नहीं है..... पूरे हिंदुस्तान में ही नहीं विश्व के कई देशों में में सुबह-सुबह नाश्ते में खाया जाता है.....देशभर की फ़ैक्टरियों, कम्पनियों की कैंटीन में तो दिन भर खाया जाता है.....स्कूल कॉलेजों की कैंटीन में मैं अनगिनत बनती बिगड़ती प्रेम कहानियों का गवाह बना है.... इन कैंटीनों की कड़ाही में दिन भर....निरंतर उत्पादन होता है !

Just as there is no fixed time for death in a person's life and the arrival of a customer in the shop.... in the same way there is no fixed time for eating samosas..... not only in whole of India but in many countries of the world. I eat it for breakfast in the morning…..in factories all over the country, it is eaten throughout the day in the canteens of companies. .. in the pan of these canteens throughout the day .... Continuous production is done!

लेबर को ओवरटाइम का पैसा भले ही बीस रुपए कम दे दो पर बीच में एक ब्रेक लेकर चाय के साथ दुई समोसा खिला दो फिर देखी कैसे लेंटर डलने का काम भाँय से निपटता है।

Even if you give 20 rupees less money for overtime to the laborer, take a break in between and feed them two samosas with tea and then see how the laborer handles the task of pouring.

समोसा, कहीं मैश किए हुए आलू से भरा जाता है तो कहीं कटे हुए चौकोर आलुओं से..... देश भर में कहीं भी किसी स्कूल में निरीक्षक आ जाएँ, किसी कम्पनी में ऑडिटर आ जाएँ, दुकान पर कोई पुराना ग्राहक ख़रीदारी करने आ जाए तो ट्रे में चाय के कप के साथ समोसा होना उतना ही स्वाभाविक है जितनी कि सेटमैक्स पर बार बार सूर्यवंशम का आना......फिर चाहे चाय के साथ चिप्स, बिस्किट, भुजिया कुछ भी हो पर अतिथि के लिए “#अरे ! #एक_समोसा_तो_लीजिए” का आग्रह सम्बोधन एक सम्मान सूचक वाक्य माना जाता है.

The samosa is filled with mashed potatoes, and sometimes with cut square potatoes. If you go, having samosas with a cup of tea in the tray is as natural as the frequent visit of Suryavansham on setmax......be it chips, biscuits, bhujia with tea but for the guest "#hey" ! #Ek_samosa_to_collect" The urging address is considered a respectful sentence.
