हुंडई क्रेटा या किया सेल्टोस ने क्रैश टेस्ट में औसतन 3-स्टार सेफ्टी रेटिंग है. ये दोनों ही गाड़ियां समान प्लेटफॉर्म पर हैं. दोनों के क्रैश टेस्ट किए गए मॉडल्स में ड्यूल फ्रंट एयरबैग, ईबीडी के साथ एबीएस और रियर पार्किंग सेंसर जैसे फीचर्स स्टैंडर्ड थे. हालांकि सेल्टोस को हाल में अपडेट करते हुए इसमें अब स्टैंडर्ड रूप में छह एयरबैग हैं.

The Hyundai Creta or the Kia Seltos has an average 3-star safety rating in crash tests. Both these vehicles are on the same platform. Features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors were standard on both the crash tested models. However, with the Seltos being updated recently, it now gets six airbags as standard.

The Creta offers average protection to the driver's head, while the passenger's head and the driver's and passenger's neck are well protected. चाइल्ड पैसेंजर्स (Child passengers)

जहां किआ सेल्टोस को बच्चों की सुरक्षा के मामले में टू-स्टार रेटिंग मिली है, वहीं हुंडई क्रेटा को थ्री-स्टार रेटिंग मिली है. दोनों एसयूवी में यात्रियों के लिए ISOFIX एंकरेज और थ्री-पॉइंट सीटबेल्ट नहीं हैं. सेल्टोस ने बच्चे के सिर को खराब सुरक्षा प्रदान जिसके चलते क्रेटा की तुलना में कम स्कोर है. 

While the Kia Seltos has got a two-star rating in terms of child safety, the Hyundai Creta has got a three-star rating. Both the SUVs do not get ISOFIX anchorages and three-point seatbelts for the passengers. The Seltos offers poorer protection to the baby's head which results in a lower score than the Creta.
