स्टॉकहोम स्थित हाइड्रोफॉइल इलेक्ट्रिक बोट वाली कंपनी कैंडेला ने इलेक्ट्रिक पावर ट्रेन पर बेस्ड नई टैक्सी नाव लॉन्च की है. बोट को इस तरह डिजाइन है कि यह कम पावर का इस्तेमाल कर, पानी की सतह से ऊपर उड़ती है. कंपनी ने कैंडेला पी-8 वोयाजर नाम है.

Candela, a Stockholm-based hydrofoil electric boat company, has launched a new taxi boat based on an electric power train. The boat is designed in such a way that it flies above the surface of the water, using less power. The company has named the Candela P-8 Voyager.

हाइड्रोफॉइल सिस्टम (Hydrofoil system)

 इस बोट को अन्य पारंपरिक वाटर टैक्सियों और कर्मशियल पैसेंजर व्हीकल के विकल्प के तौर पर पेश है. इसको वेनिस में लॉन्च किया. इसे कंपनी ने C8 इलेक्ट्रिक स्पीडबोट के तर्ज पर तैयार है. पी-8 हाइड्रोफॉइल सिस्टम पर निर्भर है, जिसका उपयोग ब्रांड द्वारा अन्य इलेक्ट्रिक बोट पर है. इसे 50 से अधिक इंजीनियरों द्वारा डिजाइन है, जिनके पास ड्रोन, एयरोस्पेस और सॉफ्टवेयर इंडस्ट्री का अनुभव है.

This boat is offered as an alternative to other traditional water taxis and commercial passenger vehicles. It was launched in Venice. The company has prepared it on the lines of the C8 electric speedboat. The P-8 is dependent on the hydrofoil system, which is used on other electric boats by the brand. It is designed by over 50 engineers with experience in the drone, aerospace and software industries.

The boat's flight control uses sensors to measure the height of the boat from the waves, making for a smooth ride even in adverse conditions. The system handles 4 to 5 foot long chops and boat wakes. The hydrofoil system has almost zero wakes and the hydrofoils are no bigger than the famous gondolas of Venice.

मेंटेनेंस (Maintenance)

The P-8 Voyager is designed in such a way that it does not require much maintenance. The Candela C-Pod motor is developed specifically for the company's hydrofoiling watercraft. There is a pair of submerged motors, which provide 50 kW of power and directly to the counter-rotating propeller without the need for any transmission.

सर्विस (Service)

कंपनी बिना सर्विस के 3 हजार घंटों तक भी चलाता है, जो किसी आंतरिक दहन-आधारित प्रणाली से 30 गुना अधिक है. एकलुंड ने कहा कि यह पूरी तरह से कनेक्टेड बोट है. सेवा का पहलू महत्वपूर्ण है. कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि आप व्हेल-देखने का बिजनेस चलाते हैं या एक सुपरयाच के कप्तान हैं. हमारा उद्देश्य मेंटेनेंस में बर्बाद होने वाले समय को बचाना है.

The company also runs for 3,000 hours without service, which is 30 times more than any internal combustion-based system. Eklund said that it is a fully connected boat. The service aspect is important. It doesn't matter whether you run a whale-watching business or are the captain of a superyacht. Our aim is to save time wasted in maintenance.
