ब्लूटूथ की वेबसाइट पर डाटा के मुताबिक ब्लूटूथ का नाम मध्ययुगीन स्कैंडिनेवियाई राजा के नाम पर है. राजा का पूरा नाम हेराल्ड ब्लूटूथ गोर्मसन था. वे 2 चीजों के लिए थे, 958 में डेनमार्क और नॉर्वे को एकजुट करना और दूसरा मरे हुए दांत से जो गहरे नीले/भूरे रंग का था. उन्हें ब्लूटूथ मिला.
