The Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation is the Ministry of the Government of India that deals with the coverage and quality aspects of the released data. Surveys by the ministry are on scientific sampling methods.

सांख्यिकी विभाग और कार्यक्रम कार्यान्वयन विभाग के विलय के बाद 15 अक्टूबर 1999 को सांख्यिकी और कार्यक्रम कार्यान्वयन मंत्रालय स्वतंत्र मंत्रालय के अस्तित्व में आया।
The Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation came into existence as an independent ministry on 15 October 1999 after the merger of the Department of Statistics and the Department of Program Implementation.

मंत्रालय के दो स्कंध हैं, एक सांख्यिकी से संबंधित है और दूसरा कार्यक्रम कार्यान्वयन से है। राष्ट्रीय सांख्यिकी कार्यालय नामक सांख्यिकी विंग में केंद्रीय सांख्यिकी कार्यालय, कंप्यूटर केंद्र और राष्ट्रीय नमूना सर्वेक्षण हैं।
The Ministry has two wings, one dealing with statistics and the other dealing with program implementation. The statistics wing called the National Statistics Office houses the Central Statistics Office, the Computer Center and the National Sample Survey.
