ऑनलाइन फूड डिलीवरी कंपनी स्विगी ने महिला फूड डिलीवरी पार्टनर के लिए अनूठी पहल है. स्विगी ने महिला कर्मचारियों के लिए महीने में दो दिन पीरियड लीव देने का ऐलान है. कंपनी ने कहा है कि महिला डिलीवरी पार्टनर्स के लिए ‘नो-क्वेश्चन-आस्कड, टू-डे पेड मंथली पीरियड टाइम ऑफ पॉलिसी’ का ऑप्शन है. कंपनी ने खुद जानकारी दी है.
Online food delivery company Swiggy has a unique initiative for women food delivery partners. Swiggy has announced to give period leave for women employees for two days in a month. The company has said that there is an option of 'no-question-asked, two-day paid monthly period time off policy' for female delivery partners. The company itself has given information.

स्विगी ऑपरेशन्स के वाइस प्रेसिडेंट मिहिर शाह ने कहा, 'मेन्स्ट्रुएशन के दौरान सड़क पर किसी के यहां डिलीवरी करने जाना परेशानी है और वजह है कि क्षेत्र में महिलाएं काम करने आगे नहीं आ रही हैं.पीरियड से जुड़ी समस्याओं के सहयोग करने के उद्देश्य से हम लोगों ने बिना कोई सवाल पूछे हर महीने दो दिनों के लिए पेड लीव महिला डिलीवरी एजेंट्स को देने का फैसला है.'
Mihir Shah, Vice President, Swiggy Operations, said, “It is a hassle to go to someone's place to deliver on the road during menstruation and this is the reason why women in the area are not coming forward to work. People have decided to give paid leave to women delivery agents for two days every month without asking any questions.
महिला डिलीवरी के ‘सेफ जोन’
('Safe Zone' for female delivery)
साल 2016 में स्विगी में डिलीवरी एजेंट के तौर पर पहली महिला कर्मचारी ने ज्वाइन किया. कंपनी ने महिला कर्मचारियों के लिए पीरियड लीव के अलावा भी कई कदम हैं. स्विगी ने महिला डिलीवरी पार्टनर्स के लिए ‘सेफ जोन’ और शाम 6 बजे तक डिलीवरी के समय जैसे कदम हैं.
In the year 2016, the first female employee joined Swiggy as a delivery agent. Apart from period leave, the company has also taken many steps for women employees. Swiggy has taken steps like 'Safe Zone' for female delivery partners and delivery time till 6 pm.
ज़ोमैटो ने की घोषणा (Zomato announced)
पिछले साल ऑनलाइन फूड डिलीवरी कंपनी जोमैटो ने भी अपनी महिला कर्मचारियों के लिए पीरियड के दौरान साल में 10 पेड लीव डे की शुरुआत की. इससे महिला कर्मचारियों को काम में निरन्तरता रखने में मदद मिलेगी.
Last year, online food delivery company Zomato also introduced 10 paid leave days a year for its female employees during the period. This will help women employees to maintain continuity in work.
