पेट्रोल-डीजल की बढ़ती कीमतों ने दुनिया को ईंधन के बारे में मजबूर है. भारत समेत कई देश तेजी से इलेक्ट्रिक व्हीकल्स की तरफ शिफ्ट हैं, जबकि जापान जैसे कुछ देशों में हाइड्रोजन को ईंधन के रूप में इस्तेमाल शुरू है.

जापान की निर्माता कंपनी टोयोटा की मिराई कार ने हाइड्रोजन फ्यूल पर लंबी दूरी तय करने का वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड है, जिसे में गिनीज वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड में जगह मिली. कार की खासियत है कि एक बार फ्यूल भरवाने के बाद 1360 किमी का सफर पूरा किया. कुल 5.65 किलो हाइड्रोजन की खपत हुई. इस हिसाब से देखा जाए तो कार ने 260 किमी प्रति किलो का माइलेज दिया.

Japanese manufacturer Toyota's Mirai car holds the world record for long distance travel on hydrogen fuel, which got a place in the Guinness World Records. The specialty of the car is that once the fuel is filled, it has completed the journey of 1360 km. A total of 5.65 kg of hydrogen was consumed. According to this, the car gave a mileage of 260 km per kg.

2016 में लॉन्च कार (car launched in 2016)

टोयोटा मिराई को वर्ष 2016 में लांच किया.पहली फ्यूल सेल इलेक्ट्रिक व्हीकल यानी हाइड्रोजन ईंधन से चलने वाली कार थी. उत्तरी अमेरिका में कार रिटेल सेल के लिए उपलब्ध है. हाइड्रोजन फ्यूल का इस्तेमाल लोगों के लिए साबित है. भारत में हाइड्रोजन फ्यूल को विकल्प के रूप में नहीं है.

Toyota Mirai was launched in the year 2016. The first fuel cell electric vehicle was a car powered by hydrogen fuel. The car is available for retail sale in North America. The use of hydrogen fuel is proven for people. Hydrogen fuel is not an option in India.

हाइड्रोजन का प्रोडक्शन (production of hydrogen)?

हाईड्रोजन का प्रोडक्शन महंगा है. महंगाई से उचित विकल्प के रूप में नहीं देखा. नई तकनीक की मदद से हाइड्रोजन उत्पादन की लागत लगातार कम है. भारत में निजी क्षेत्र की बड़ी पेट्रोलियम कंपनी रिलायंस पेट्रोलियम के मालिक मुकेश अंबानी ने कहा था कि अगले एक दशक के भीतर हाइड्रोजन उत्पादन की लागत एक डॉलर प्रति किलो के स्तर पर होगी.

Hydrogen production is expensive. Inflation is not seen as a reasonable alternative. With the help of new technology, the cost of hydrogen production is continuously reduced. Mukesh Ambani, owner of Reliance Petroleum, the largest private sector petroleum company in India, had said that within the next decade, the cost of hydrogen production would be at the level of one dollar per kg.

इलेक्ट्रिक कारों को जीवाश्म ईंधन का विकल्प है. जितनी इलेक्ट्रिक कारें हैं वो चार्ज करने के बाद 500 किमी तक की दूरी तय करती हैं. कारों को चार्ज करने के लिए चार्जिंग स्टेशन की व्यवस्था करना बाधा है. दूसरी बाधा कारों को चार्ज में लगने वाला समय है.
